Having been the non-belly mama for the past year or so has been great! There was nothing I loved more than seeing my beautiful wife pregnant. I really enjoyed every second of being on the outside of this whole twin pregnancy experience, but for a while now, I have been wanting to know what it is like to be the belly mama. Watching Callie’s pregnancy, and being so involved, really got me excited to start this journey, so we took a leap of faith, and made our way to the fertility clinic.
May 8th, 2015 – First appointment with the RE to try and figure out what the next steps are to do a FET (frozen embryo transfer) with one of the 5 embryos we have on ice. Ultrasound shows lining is pretty thick, and blood work shows period is not anywhere near
May 9th, 2015 – Start Provera to induce a period in order to be able to start doing required tests and blood work to get this cycle under way
May 16th, 2015 – Start period
May 20th, 2015 – Go into RE office for second ultrasound. Lining still thick but right where it should be. Begin 2mg of Estrace 2x’s a day
May 26th, 2015 – Have saline sonogram done (a bit uncomfortable, but not unbearbale), and everything looks pretty good! Estrace increased to 2mg 3x’s a day
June 10th, 2015 – TRANSFER DAY!!!! An awesome, beautiful looking embryo!
June 15th, 2015 – 5 days post 5 day transfer, and we have the faintest of faint second lines. Could it be?!?
June 17th, 2015 – One full week after our transfer, there is a difinitive “PREGNANT” on a digital test! I am totally having a baby! WE are totally having a baby! Our family will go from 3 to 4!June 19th, 2015 – First Beta is at 122 (22 is a really good number for me!) and Progesterone is at 16.8.
